Camerata is one of the leading artistic and producing agencies in the Czech Republic which has been operating since year 1992.

Today, we represent a number of internationally recognized artists and emerging young talents who have already managed to survive in many prestigious international music competitions.

Cukrová

 

Markéta Cukrová was born in Prague. After graduating from Charles University in Prague she got professional training in singing at the State Conservatory in Bratislava, Slovakia. From then on she has been following the leadership of one of the most respected Czech singing teachers Marie Urbanová.

Since 1992 she has been frequently taking part in Early music projects in Czech Republic and Europe, both as a soloist and as a member of ensembles performing music ranging from Medieval to Baroque accompanied with authentic instruments (Collegium 1704, Musique des Lumiéres, Musica Florea, Collegium Marianum, Arte Dei Suonatori). Regularly she appears at most distinguished festivals of differing genres (Pražské Jaro, Svjatoslav Richter December Nights, Europalia, Tojours Mozart, Musica Judaica, New Wave Festival, Prague Premiers, The Brugge Festival of Early Music, St.Venceslas Festival, Tropical Baroque in Miami, Festival de la Chaise-Dieu, Festival de Sable,  Musikverain Wien, Schleswick-Holstein Festival, Trionale).

She is enjoing a membership in the world-known Italian group Mala Punica, specialised in medieval Arte Subtilior.

She has been recording for Czech, French, Italian and Polish Radio Broadcasting and TV,

for the first mentioned she completed a premiere Czech recording of Darius Milhaud’s cantate Les Machines Agricoles.

She continues to enrich her musical activities by performing chamber songs of Classical, Romantic, Impressionistic and XX. century authors and also oratorio and opera repertoire. In the Prague National Theatre she was pleased to take part in premiere setting of Monteverdi L´Orfeo, Rinaldo by G.F. Händel and B. Martinu Les Jeux de Marie, and many others in the Baroque theatre of Český Krumlov (Antonio Caldara´s La Contesa di Numi, Josef Mysliveček Il Parnasso Confuso, etc).
