Kristýna Vylíčilová - soprano

Kristýna Vylíčilová finished her studies at Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. She gives guest performances in the Moravian Theater Olomouc, South Bohemian Theater and in the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre. Kristýna regularly performs various genres - from baroque to contemporary art.


Kristýna is a Czech soprano talent shaped by the Brno Conservatory and the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava under the tutelage of Hana Štolfová-Bandová. During her studies, she performed in various roles such as Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni) or Mi (Das Land des Lächelns).

After graduation, she continued to sharpen her vocal skills by participating in several events such as the International Singing Master Classes in Karlovy Vary, the Summer School of Baroque Music in Holešov, Master Courses of Adam Plachetka, Kateřina Kněžíková and Markéta Cukrová in Liteň, as well as the Sandra Trattnigg soprano masterclass.

Her early career is marked by numerous prestigious achievements. She is a laureate of the IUVENTUS CANTI Singing Competition in Vráble, the International Singing Competition in Olomouc as well as Antonin Dvorak's International Singing Competition in Karlovy Vary (song division).

Kristýna is a regular performer on Czech and Slovak opera stages. She was cast as Frasquita in Carmen and performed a triple role of Pepi, Valencie and Mi in Soirée in the Moravian Theater Olomouc. Recently, she has performed the role of Lisetta in Giovanni Paisiello's Opera Il Re Teodoro in Venezia in the Slovak National Theater.

In 2016 Kristýna was the lead female character Evička in the opera of Vojtěch Hřímalý, Zakletý princ, in the South Bohemian Theater. She was listed in the broader nomination for the 2016 Czech Thalia Award for her performance. In the South Bohemian Theater she was also cast as Berenice in Gioacchino Rossini's opera L'occasione fa il ladro. Furthermore, the same year (2016) Kristýna debuted as Ludiše in Braniboři v Čechách in the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre and as Anna Reich (The Merry Wives of Windsor) and Karolka (Jenůfa) in the F. X. Šalda Theatre in Liberec.

Kristýna is a versatile performer with her interests ranging from baroque to contemporary music. She intensively cooperates with specialized baroque ensembles and contemporary music ensembles.

She has rehearsed M. Štědroň's Chameleon in cooperation with Opera Diversa - a typical producer of contemporary music. She was also cast into various roles by the Damian Ensemble. Kristýna has performed in the neo-baroque operas Torso and Yta innocens from T. Hanzlík and V. Zouhar, as well as mastered the role of L´Eta dell´Oro in the opera La Senna festeggiante from A. Vivaldi and the lead role of Trigoniana in a modern premiere of the Operosa Terni Colossi Moles opera by A. Míča.

Additionally, Kristýna has performed several times at prestigious music and opera festivals such as IOF Smetanova Litomyšl, Litoměřice Music Festival, Baroque Olomouc and Zlatá Pecka Music Festival.

Apart from the abundant theater work, there are also numerous concert activities in Kristýna's professional life. She has cooperated closely with The Prague Symphony Orchestra FOK, The Pilsen Philharmonic Orchestra, Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra, Polyphonic Choir INSPIRATUM (Moscow), Prague Singers, Musica Figuralis, The Baroque Orchestra of the Prague Conservatory, Chamber Choir Dvorak and Holešov Chamber Ensemble. Kristýna has therefore collaborated on several crucial works of spiritual vocal-instrumental music forms.
